Fort Worth, Texas is gearing up to be the new home for the CrossFit Games in 2024. CrossFit made the announcement on Tuesday, confirming that the 2024 CrossFit Games will take place at Dickies Arena from August 8 to 11, 2024. This historic relocation marks the first-ever finals of the CrossFit Games to grace the Lone Star State.

Over the years, the CrossFit Games have embarked on a journey across various host cities, building a legacy spanning 17 years. In the past, they’ve called Carson, California, their home, notably residing at the StubHub Center (now known as Dignity Health Sports Park) from 2010 to 2016. The Games then found their way to Madison, Wisconsin, where the Alliant Energy Center served as their host venue from 2017 to 2023. The Madison era witnessed remarkable growth in both scale and popularity, attracting CrossFit enthusiasts from around the world.

In a pivotal shift during 2020, the CrossFit Games departed from traditional broadcast channels, embracing a digital-only format. This significant change was driven by the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the Games not only weathered the storm but thrived. In 2023, the CrossFit Games made a return to ESPN, reasserting its dominance in the world of competitive sports and fitness. This resurgence, combined with the upcoming relocation to Fort Worth, Texas, signifies the enduring appeal and adaptability of this event.

“Fort Worth is a proven destination for high-profile events, and we’re excited to add to the growing number of sports and entertainment options at the state-of-the-art Dickies Arena,” CEO Don Faul said. “Love of sport is in the DNA of most Texans, and we can’t think of a more enthusiastic audience for the Games.”

Dickies Arena, a four-year-old state-of-the-art facility, will host the CrossFit Games starting in 2024.

Dickies Arena, a four-year-old state-of-the-art facility, will provide CrossFit with new opportunities to present the worldwide championship to fans in attendance. It boasts three standard levels of seating, including additional hospitality and elevated viewing experiences on the suite and loge box level. The nearly 30,000-square-foot event floor, depending on seating configuration, will provide the luxury of up to an estimated 10,000-plus seats once the field of play is completed.

CrossFit executives say hosting the Games in a new venue and city will allow the event to continue to grow and evolve, highlighting its adaptability and enduring appeal.
